lololololol

Anyway, onto the update: There's a lot of people on MS whom are regulars, oldies, or well known for some reason or other. I'm wondering what everyone thinks about of a section for users. It'd be somewhat like the Staff and NPCs page column, only for all sorts of users, not just staff and such.
The reason why I haven't gone and done this myself is because it would absolutely require help. I don't have help. No one's submitting anything. *le derp face* I'd need help to organize pages. What I'm thinking about doing is sending a few mass PMs to some users on MS that I know are, well, well known. The PM would consist of a form for them to fill out and PM back to me that would later be adding onto this site.

Now onto the second part of this update. The original purpose of this site was a place to put the Morg Butt quote-chain somewhere besides my profile, because it's so huge I have little space for anything else on there anymore. Now, very quickly after getting that idea, I figured, 'Hey, why not make a site for quotes in general!?' Well, it snowballed into a little more than that... heh. You see, most fansites cover the creatures, quests, etc. I'm covering that, and even more. Therefore, at some point in the future, the MAB will undergo a name change, as well as an overhaul to the general "theme" of the website. It shouldn't be any giant change that makes you hate the site, just something to make it make more sense.

Also, after making this, I do believe I'll be making a thread on MagiStream for the site so I can get some help. I, uh, need it.

Little Update~ 03/30/2012

Took down the fan art section. It wasn't really doing anything besides taking up space. The two meme comics can now be found under the Misc section.

Changed the staff page to include NPCs. Although, maybe I should give NPCs their own little section and cover ALLLLLLLL the NPCs in MagiStream. That would, ah, be.... fun?

I think it's about time I make my thoughts on the form entries I've received. xD

“MOAR STUFFS. No, seriously. I know that it's new, so it doesn't have a bunch of posts yet... Quotes. Maybe a list of events (contests, etc.) happening on Magistream. Who knows? If you can't understand this, it's because I'm typing this at 12:30 AM from an iPad.”

Makes perfect sense to me. I could definitely go and make an MS timeline, detailing when certain things were released, contests, if we had a crash or significant server issues (such as Cloudflare as of late), and so forth.

“Moar pages!”

Working on eeeeeet. X)

“This site is awesome!!! I found the whole chat about Morg's butt on here and I laughed for about 10 minutes!!”

This site's purpose has been fulfilled. *MEGUSTA*

“Tristan should have more things on his site...thing. But other than that, great. I just want to add that it's a little annoying to look up who said what because of the "in response to (enter name here)". I think you should be able to show quotes.”

I'm still working on Tristan's quote section, as well as that for all three admins. I'm going through Tristan and Damien's whole list of posts, so it'll take a while to go through all that. I'm happy to receive help though!

That's not as easy as you would think. Weebly has its own format for webpages, and it doesn't include BBCode. BBCode is used for forums, and exclusively forums. I've never seen a website or anything that uses it.

Now, this site does allow for custom HTML, so I plan on going through and fixing some pages up with that since it would only require basic HTML editing and I can do that, but I have no knowledge of-- well... I can visualize something like a BBCode quote that you would see on MagiStream, but I have no idea how to code that, or if it can be done with HTML. I'll take a look at some HTML tutorial sites and see what I can do with that.

Bit of an Update 03/01/2012

Just wanted to let you guys know that I haven't forgotten about this site-- I've just been busy.

First off, I've discovered that the "more" tab on the Weebly editor actually has some useful things in it, including adding a survey and a contact form.

Here you can fill out the survey. I highly recommend that you fill it out; I read every single one and think about the suggestion(s). I'll also likely ask what a few users in the HWYD thread think about it.
Also, unless you tell me who you are, the only way I can ID anyone is via their IP address.

Secondly, one of the survey suggestions was about a fan art section. That has crossed my mind occasionally for a few short seconds, but I've never given it any real thought. I've decided now that I could give it a go. There is a contact form on the page asking for links to art threads on MS or for artist's usernames. Under that page is the Meme Comics page. If you've made an MS-related meme/rage comic and it hasn't been put onto that page within a few hours to two days, you can submit it in the form.

Thirdly is the idea of a forum. I've actually been entertaining the idea in my own head for a few weeks now, and I believe it can't possibly hurt anything, so I'll be looking into forum hosting sites and what they have to offer.

In addition to this news is some minor things: I will likely add a quick reference to all the creatures on the site, and also a page documenting the server issues and crashes MagiStream has endured in it's nearly three years of being online.

I can haz halp. 01/04/2012

Amkorra has offered to help with the site. She knows HTML, PHP, CSS, Java and Javascript. In addition to coding, she's also quite the artist. You can check out her gallery here
She'll be working her magic here to make MAB look more like MagiStream and anything else she has to add. :3

Teh Beginningz! 01/02/2012

So instead of an unprofessional home page that's constantly edited, I decided a blog would best su-- err, work for the site best. This way, I also get some interaction from everyone who checks the site and they can keep their anonymity if they so wish to (though I'd prefer you didn't :P ).

Ah, let's see. Shishane noted at one point that my profile had some hilarious quotes, and we talked a little about that, and then somehow the idea of a website spawned. So thus, this was born in the evening of December 23rd.
The shenanigans can be read here.

Interestingly enough, the original Morg Butt conversation started on December 25th, 2010.

Also, in case you were wondering, I'm working on my own personal site. This stuff will be for MagiStream and MagiStream alone. :3
